This conference will allow members to experience a similar experience as a National Leadership Conference a little bit closer to home. It has seminars like all other conferences and this is usually where the details for the competitive events will be released. Once released, the 'Resources' tab will be updated with the latest event guidelines. The NFLC has been a very enjoyable conference, especially for those who do not qualify for the National Conference. This conference is usually in November so remember the first payment deadline is October 1st. Remember to keep track of all important updates on Remind101 and social media. This conference is open to all members.

NFLC

The National Leadership Conference is where your skills are put to the test. After month's of preparation you are finally on FBLA's biggest stage. Even if you do not qualify at SLC, you can still attend this conference. There are still workshops and open events that everyone can attend. Bellevue East has had a lot of success on the national stage before. Our first team to make it on stage was way back in 2004, and our first national champions received their trophies in 2015. If knowing you are one of the best in the nation doesn't motivate you to achieve this level of success, then know that top 10 finishers can also receive prize money from FBLA for their accomplishments.

NLC

This is where members can qualify for the National Leadership Conference (NLC, not to be confused with the National Fall Leadership Conference-NFLC). At the State Leadership Conference in April, our members will compete against the best that Nebraska has to offer in events such as public speaking and website design. Visit the 'Resources' tab for more information. The top three in each event will move on to the National Leadership Conference were they will compete against other chapters from across the world. Make sure you stay up to date on Remind101 and social media to meet deadlines. Bellevue East has had some amazing years at SLC and we aim to keep the streak alive this year!

SLC

Nebraska FBLA will be hosting their FLC at two locations this year, but our chapter will be attending the one in Omaha in September. This conference is a one day event with workshops aimed to train local FBLA officers and members. Nebraska FBLA's planned activities and goals will also be discussed at this conference, AKA their program of work. It is mandatory for every officer to attend so that they can gain useful knowledge from their state counterparts to further our chapter. Our officer team will present their findings at the meeting directly following this conference. For more information see Mr. Werner in D-26 or visit Nebraska FBLA's website under the 'Resources' tab.

What is FBLA?

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a nonprofit association for high school students, with the goal of preparing students who are interested in entering business or business-related careers. One way this is accomplished is through the conferences that are held at the state and national level. Seminars are offered at these conferences to educate members on business or business-related issues. At the State Leadership Conference (SLC) members can compete in any of the multiple competitive events FBLA offers (for more information look under conferences or resources). This conference is how students qualify to compete at the National Leadership Conference (NLC); where they will compete against the whole nation with trophies and prize money from sponsors being awarded to those who place. FBLA offers something for everyone; all you have to do is seize the opportunity and join your school's (Bellevue East) FBLA chapter. As you can see there are all types of fun oppurtunities like ice cream socials, dodgeball tournaments, stays in nice hotels, and other great oppurtunities that will help you learn, grow , and develop for the future. For more information on leadership conferences and the requirements to attend please look on the 'Conferences' tab.
